Around 45% of the responses have indicated slowing down of exits or putting them on hold for the time being, expecting improvement in business, while around 26% would not be able to achieve the targeted number of exits for 2001-02. Almost 23% responses indicate that the funds may need to create provisions for some investments. 32% are actively looking for exits in some investments. This indicates that earnings could be expected to receive some setback in 2001-02, hence the emphasis on quicker maturity deals and continuation with plans for second round of funding to consolidate existing projects. |
